Addressograph Graphotype Model 350
The "One Armed Bandit" -
this machine give the impression of a slot machine with the long
actuating arm located on the right and side.
In reality this machine is an Addressograph
Graphotype Model 350 series machine.
There are several different versions
of the 350 Series of Graphotypes just as there is
with all other series in the Graphotype line.
There is the Model 350, Model 355, Model 350D and
the list goes on and on.
This particular machine was designed
from the ground up to do military identification
tags or dog tags. The machine is still in use
with many military units worldwide. While this
machine is no longer manufactured there are many
fine examples of this machine still available for
purchase.
To
the left is a photo of the cover of an Addressograph
350 manual. The Model 350 Graphotype is so
easy to operate and it is a manual machine that does
not require electricity one might wonder why they
even published a Model 350 manual.
The Model 350 Graphotype is a very popular machine.
It is one of the most desirable machines of the
entire Graphotype series. The Model 350 is
small, portable and can be operated by virtually
anyone with no mechanical skills required.
This machine is particularly suited for those that
want to have the ability to transport or carry a dog
tag machine with them from place to place.
You will see vendors at flea markets, gun shows or
other public events using the Model 350 Graphotype
because it is small and portable. While the
Model 350 cannot generate the volume of tags that an
electric Graphotype can it is still fast enough in
the hands of a competent operator to make dozens of
tags per hour.
