6400 GRAPHOTYPE
This is our 6400 series machine.
This is a DEBOSSING
machine and was used by an auto parts distributor in
Ft. Worth, TX. We acquired this machine
directly from the original owner. The machine
runs fine, it did need some cleaning and adjustment.
The machine was on line and in use when we took
possession of this unit.
We want to thank Mr.
Tom Cheek of Wills Point, Texas for his contribution
of this machine to our collection.
Currently we are seeking the following for this
project:

6381 GRAPHOTYPE
- #1
6381 Graphotype #1 - with "electro-assist" shift
This is a 6381 that
we obtained from a undisclosed source. The
interesting thing about this machine is that it has
a solenoid that assists the shifting of characters
between upper and lower case. When activated
the solenoid will hold the first character of a word
in upper case and then after the character is struck
it will release automatically and all the remaining
characters will be lower case.
This machine has a
crack in one of the cast iron supports on the base
which needs to be silver soldered. The work
light is missing. The clip board bracket is
broken and the side mount tray and drawer are
smashed and severely dented.
This machine does run
and prints well.
This is a DEBOSSING machine.
We
are seeking the following for this project:
OPERATORS MANUALS
SERVICE MANUALS
TECHNICAL MANUALS
CLIP BOARD BRACKET
WORK LIGHT
6381 GRAPHOTYPE - #2
6381 Graphotype #2 - this machine is almost mint.
This 6381 came from a
man in Virginia - he donated it for the cost of
shipping. This machine is a mint in condition
as anyone is ever going to find. The machine
has a clipboard, all covers and shrouds and a work
light.
Everything on this
machine functions and it runs like a dream.
This is a DEBOSSING machine.
We
are seeking the following for this project:

6341 GRAPHOTYPE - #1
6341 Graphotype #1 - Machine we currently use at Gun
Shows.
This is a 6341 that
we bought from a man in Tyler, TX. It was the
first machine we got. This machine is the work
horse of our inventory, we take it to all the gun
shows we go to. This machine runs great and
has been a good machine for us. This machine
has a clip board. We removed the work light as
the socket was damaged and it was hazardous.
We have located the
original equipment manufacturer of the work light
but must raise the money to purchase a replacement
socket then we will put the work light back on the
machine.
This is a DEBOSSING
machine.

Close up of 6340 #2 - with tipping unit.
This is a very
interesting machine, it is a 6340 EMBOSSING machine
and the tag roller has been replaced with a tipping
unit. The tipping unit is chain driven.
This machine is in very bad condition, it is
currently being "prepped" before we work on it.
We are soaking the machine in penetrating oil to try
to get the workings to free up.
It has a work light
and clip board.
Currently the
Keyboard, ring gates, dies and punches as well as
many other moving parts are completely froze up.
This machine was used by a school photography
company to make ID cards and the tipping unit was
used to put gold tipping on the card lettering.
This is a EMBOSSING
machine.
We
are seeking the following for this project:

6341 GRAPHOTYPE - #2
Front view of 6341 #2 - with tipping unit.
This is a 6341 which
is technically a DEBOSSING machine but the user
changed the dies and punches out and this machine
was converted to a 6340 machine, which is an
EMBOSSING machine. This machine was used by a
company that did school photo ID cards. Notice
the tipping unit on the machine in place of the tag
roller.
This machine is in
serious need of repair everything on the machine is
frozen. Currently we are soaking this machine
in penetrating oil in an attempt to get the
mechanical parts free and working.

- #1
6381 GRAPHOTYPE - #3
6340 #1 and 6381 #3 awaiting repair.
Both of these
machines are in need of serious repair. More
than likely both machines will be completely
stripped and used for parts. These machines
were donated by a man who bought them on eBay only
to find out that they did not work when he received
them.
NOTICE: None of these
machines are for sale.
6340 #1 - Close Up
This machine has a
cracked flywheel and a bent main shaft. This
machine appears to have never been used. It
looks almost as if someone knocked the machine over
immediately after it was manufactured. There
is also a crack in the main horse shoe casting.
The machine is exceptionally clean but it is damaged
beyond repair.
The only use for this
machine is for parts.
This is a EMBOSSING
machine.

This is a 6381

has a large carriage on it to accept very large
plates. This machine is missing parts that
prevents it from running. We need a character
spacing paw and some other parts to make this
machine functional. This machine is missing
the tag roller, it does not have a clip board, it is
also lacking the work light.

Graphotype machines this machine is the easiest to
operate and makes crystal clear tags.
This machine came
from a bank in Henrietta, TX. The only thing
we had to do to this machine was clean and lubricate
the workings.
